Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 170

अन्वारब्धेन सव्येन तर्पयेत्षड्विनायकान् । ब्रह्मादीनखिलान्देवान्मरीच्यादींस्तथा मुनीन्

anvārabdhena savyena tarpayetṣaḍvināyakān | brahmādīnakhilāndevānmarīcyādīṃstathā munīn

Mit der heiligen Schnur in rechter Weise über der linken Seite getragen (savyopavīta), soll man die Wasserlibation (tarpana) den sechs Vināyakas darbringen, allen Göttern beginnend mit Brahmā, und ebenso den Weisen beginnend mit Marīci.
