Transliteration

caraṇau viṣṇuśaraṇau hitvā nārāyaṇāṃgaṇam | tasya no caratonyatra carato vipulaṃ tapaḥ

Translation

Obwohl er die schützenden Füße Viṣṇus und selbst den Hof Nārāyaṇas verließ, gingen seine Füße nirgendwo andershin; so gewaltig und unbeirrbar war die von ihm geübte Askese.
