शापाद्वेतालतां प्राप तत्कन्यास्पर्शपातकी । त्वं च शप्तः पुरा तेन तत्पापस्यानु मोदकः
śāpādvetālatāṃ prāpa tatkanyāsparśapātakī | tvaṃ ca śaptaḥ purā tena tatpāpasyānu modakaḥ
„Durch einen Fluch wurde er zum Vetāla, denn durch die Berührung jenes Mädchens fiel er in Sünde; und auch du wurdest einst von ihm verflucht, weil du jenes Unrecht gebilligt hast.“
