भार्या मूलं गृहस्थस्य भार्या मूलं सुखस्य च । भार्या धर्मफलायैव भार्या संतानवृद्धये

bhāryā mūlaṃ gṛhasthasya bhāryā mūlaṃ sukhasya ca | bhāryā dharmaphalāyaiva bhāryā saṃtānavṛddhaye

Die Gattin ist die eigentliche Wurzel des Lebens des Hausvaters und ebenso die Wurzel des Glücks. Die Gattin dient der Fruchtwerdung des Dharma, und die Gattin dient der Mehrung der Nachkommenschaft.
