शासनं चेन्न दृष्टं वो नैव तत्पालयाम्यहम् । द्विजाः कोपसमाविष्टा ददुः प्रत्युत्तरं तदा
śāsanaṃ cenna dṛṣṭaṃ vo naiva tatpālayāmyaham | dvijāḥ kopasamāviṣṭā daduḥ pratyuttaraṃ tadā
„Wenn ihr den Befehl (die Autorität) nicht gesehen habt, werde ich ihn nicht befolgen.“ Da gaben die Zweimalgeborenen, vom Zorn ergriffen, ihre Antwort.
