Transliteration

pūjārthaṃ bhaktikāmārthāstadrakṣaṇamakurvata | caṃdanena ca divyena puṣpeṇa ca sugandhinā

Translation

Zum Zwecke der Verehrung—aus Hingabe und dem Wunsch zu dienen—übernahmen sie seinen Schutz und brachten göttliche Sandelpaste sowie wohlriechende Blumen dar.
