Transliteration

na sūryo bhāti tatraiva mahāṃdhakāra saṃyutam | nirjanaṃ nirmanuṣyaṃ ca bahuyojanamāyatam

Translation

Dort leuchtete die Sonne überhaupt nicht; es war von großer Finsternis durchdrungen—einsam, menschenleer und über viele Yojanas ausgedehnt.
