विष्णुरुवाच । गयाप्रयाग कस्याऽपि फलं समधिकं स्मृतम् । चतुर्द्दश्याममावास्यां लोहयष्ट्यां पिंडदानतः
viṣṇuruvāca | gayāprayāga kasyā'pi phalaṃ samadhikaṃ smṛtam | caturddaśyāmamāvāsyāṃ lohayaṣṭyāṃ piṃḍadānataḥ
Viṣṇu sprach: Die Frucht von Gayā und Prayāga gilt als die andere Orte übertreffend, besonders wenn man am vierzehnten Tag und am Neumondstag (amāvāsyā) in Lohayaṣṭī Piṇḍas darbringt.
