Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 35

अस्नात्वापि पर्युषितं भक्षयंतीह वै द्विजाः । तं समादाय देवेशं जग्मुर्यत्र जगद्गुरुः

asnātvāpi paryuṣitaṃ bhakṣayaṃtīha vai dvijāḥ | taṃ samādāya deveśaṃ jagmuryatra jagadguruḥ

Obwohl er sich nicht gebadet hatte und abgestandene Speise aß, ergriffen ihn die Zweimalgeborenen und brachten ihn zum Herrn der Götter, dorthin, wo der Weltenlehrer weilte.
