Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 29
देवा ऊचुः । वृद्धिं संहर देवेश लोका नां स्वस्ति तद्भवेत् । एवमुक्ते ततो लिंगाद्वागुवाचाशरीरिणी
devā ūcuḥ | vṛddhiṃ saṃhara deveśa lokā nāṃ svasti tadbhavet | evamukte tato liṃgādvāguvācāśarīriṇī
Die Götter sprachen: „O Herr der Götter, ziehe dieses anschwellende Wachstum zurück, damit Heil und Wohlergehen den Welten zuteilwerden.“ Als sie so gesprochen hatten, erging aus dem Liṅga eine körperlose Stimme.
