समानगोत्रप्रवरां कन्यामूढ्वोपगम्य च । तस्यामुत्पाद्य चांडालं ब्राह्मण्यादेव हीयते

Transliteration

samānagotrapravarāṃ kanyāmūḍhvopagamya ca | tasyāmutpādya cāṃḍālaṃ brāhmaṇyādeva hīyate

Translation

Wenn ein Mann ein Mädchen derselben Gotra und derselben Pravara heiratet und mit ihr zusammenlebt und in ihr Nachkommenschaft zeugt, wird dieses Kind ein Caṇḍāla; und er selbst fällt von der Brahmanenschaft ab (verliert seinen Brahmanenstand).
