Tirtha: Uttara Kuru
Type: kshetra
Listener: Muni (unnamed sage addressed as ‘mune’)
Scene: Narrative transition: Vyāsa narrates; the woman, after honoring her father, departs toward the far-northern, luminous land of Uttara Kuru—snowy horizons, celestial flora, and a sense of crossing into mythic space.
Prompt obedience to righteous counsel and honoring one’s parents are upheld as dharmic virtues.
No tīrtha is praised; the verse mentions Uttara-Kuru as a Purāṇic region.
No formal ritual; only the respectful act of pūjā toward one’s father is described.
