युद्धं कृत्वा ततश्चोभौ परस्परवधैषिणौ । परशुं जघ्निवान्देव ललाटे परमे शुभम्
yuddhaṃ kṛtvā tataścobhau parasparavadhaiṣiṇau | paraśuṃ jaghnivāndeva lalāṭe parame śubham
Nachdem sie gekämpft hatten, begehrten beide, einander zu bezwingen und zu vernichten. Da schlug der Gott mit der Axt auf die Stirn—höchst verheißungsvoll, wenn auch von schrecklicher Folge.
