चिंतयामास मनसा किमिदं हर्षितो हरिः । अतिहर्षं च तं दृष्ट्वा यमराजस्वरूपिणम् । आश्चर्यमनसं चैव नारदः पृष्टवांस्तदा
ciṃtayāmāsa manasā kimidaṃ harṣito hariḥ | atiharṣaṃ ca taṃ dṛṣṭvā yamarājasvarūpiṇam | āścaryamanasaṃ caiva nāradaḥ pṛṣṭavāṃstadā
Nārada dachte bei sich: „Wie kommt es, dass Hari voller Freude ist?“ Und als er den sah, der die Gestalt Yamarājas trug und von außergewöhnlicher Wonne erfüllt war, fragte Nārada, vom Staunen ergriffen, ihn sogleich.
