The King (continuing his account)
Tirtha: Pampā-kṣetra Śiva-mandira
Type: kshetra
Listener:
Scene: The dog, fleeing, circles the Śiva temple—moving clockwise along the outer wall; lamps flicker, devotees inside; at the gate again, attendants drive it back, yet the circumambulation is complete.
Pradakṣiṇā itself is a potent devotional act; even when performed unintentionally or under hardship, it can generate lasting puṇya.
The Śiva temple in the Pampā region is implicitly glorified through the emphasis on pradakṣiṇā around it.
Pradakṣiṇā (circumambulation) of a Śiva temple is the key ritual act referenced.
