Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 3

समुत्क्षिप्ते तु तेनैव सपूतिरभवद्व्रणः । तत्र तीर्थे तपस्तप्त्वा निर्व्रणः समजायत

samutkṣipte tu tenaiva sapūtirabhavadvraṇaḥ | tatra tīrthe tapastaptvā nirvraṇaḥ samajāyata

Als er es selbst gewaltsam herausriss, entstand eine Wunde, eiternd vor Eiter. Doch nachdem er an eben diesem Tīrtha Askese geübt hatte, wurde er wundfrei.
