वह्निरुवाच । नमस्ते सर्वलोकेश उग्रमूर्ते नमोऽस्तु ते । रेतसा तव संदग्धः कुष्ठी जातो महेश्वर । कृपां कुरु महादेव मम रोगं विनाशय
vahniruvāca | namaste sarvalokeśa ugramūrte namo'stu te | retasā tava saṃdagdhaḥ kuṣṭhī jāto maheśvara | kṛpāṃ kuru mahādeva mama rogaṃ vināśaya
Vahni (Agni) sprach: „Ehrerbietung Dir, Herr aller Welten; Ehrerbietung Deiner furchterregenden Gestalt. O Maheśvara, von Deiner feurigen Kraft versengt, bin ich vom Aussatz befallen. O Mahādeva, erbarme Dich — vernichte mein Leiden.“
