Transliteration

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | naṣṭe loke punaścānye salilena samāvṛte | mahārṇavasya madhyastho bāhubhyāmataraṃ jalam

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya sprach: Als die Welt zugrunde gegangen war und wiederum alles von Wassern bedeckt wurde, befand ich mich mitten im großen Ozean und schwamm mit meinen Armen durch die Flut.
