करिष्यामि व्रतान्याशु पुराणविहितानि च । आत्मानं शोषयिष्यामि तोषयिष्ये जनार्दनम्

Transliteration

kariṣyāmi vratānyāśu purāṇavihitāni ca | ātmānaṃ śoṣayiṣyāmi toṣayiṣye janārdanam

Translation

„Sogleich werde ich die in den Purāṇas gebotenen Gelübde auf mich nehmen. Durch Askese werde ich meinen Leib zügeln und Janārdana (Viṣṇu) erfreuen.“
