Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 9

तत्र तीर्थे तु यः स्नात्वा विधिना जपेद्द्विजान् । तस्य कोटिगुणं पुण्यं जायते नात्र संशयः

tatra tīrthe tu yaḥ snātvā vidhinā japeddvijān | tasya koṭiguṇaṃ puṇyaṃ jāyate nātra saṃśayaḥ

An jenem heiligen Tīrtha erlangt, wer dort nach Vorschrift badet und sodann Japa in rechter Weise verrichtet, unter dem Segen der Zweimalgeborenen (Dvija), ein millionenfaches Verdienst; daran besteht kein Zweifel.
