एवंनामा कृतः सोऽपि परमं व्रतमास्थितः । तोषयामास देवेशमुमया सह शङ्करम्

evaṃnāmā kṛtaḥ so'pi paramaṃ vratamāsthitaḥ | toṣayāmāsa deveśamumayā saha śaṅkaram

So benannt, nahm auch er ein höchstes Gelübde auf sich; und durch seine strenge Observanz erfreute er Śaṅkara, den Herrn der Götter, zusammen mit Umā.
