ज्वलते धूमसंयुक्तो विस्फुलिङ्गकणैः सह । कुंजरा विमदा जातास्तुरगाः सत्त्ववर्जिताः

jvalate dhūmasaṃyukto visphuliṅgakaṇaiḥ saha | kuṃjarā vimadā jātāsturagāḥ sattvavarjitāḥ

Es loderte, vom Rauch umhüllt und begleitet von einem Regen aus Funken. Die Elefanten verloren ihre Rauschhaftigkeit der Brunft, und die Pferde wurden ihrer Kraft und ihres Mutes beraubt.
