तत एवं विगाह्यापो मन्त्रमेतमुदीरयेत् । त्वं नर्मदे पुण्यजले तवाम्भः शङ्करोद्भवम्
tata evaṃ vigāhyāpo mantrametamudīrayet | tvaṃ narmade puṇyajale tavāmbhaḥ śaṅkarodbhavam
Dann, nachdem er so in die Wasser eingetaucht ist, soll er dieses Mantra sprechen: „O Narmadā, du heiliges Wasser; dein Wasser ist aus Śaṅkara hervorgegangen.“
