Transliteration

sa gṛhe pārthiveśasya dhārmikasya yaśasvinaḥ | sa dṛṣṭvā kārttikīṃ prāptāmekadā nṛpasattamaḥ

Translation

Er wurde im Hause eines rechtschaffenen und ruhmreichen Königs geboren. Einst bemerkte der beste der Könige, dass die heilige Kārttikī-Zeit eingetroffen war.
