Mārkaṇḍeya (deduced from immediate section flow; explicit speaker appears in next adhyāya)
Tirtha: Sāvitrī-tīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Nṛpa (King)
Scene: A two-part vision: first, a luminous Brahmaloka sojourn; then a descent into a noble household where a child is born with Vedic symbols (four Vedas as four scrolls) hovering—signifying caturveda-jñāna and purity of lineage.
Merit gained through tīrtha-related dharma ripens into exalted rebirth—learning, purity of lineage, and strong Vedic orientation.
The verse continues the fruit described for Sāvitrī Tīrtha in the preceding verse, within the Revā Khaṇḍa itinerary.
No new rite is prescribed here; it states the karmic outcome after the completion of the prior heavenly stay.
