ततो भुक्ते महादेवे सर्वदेवमये शिवे । पुष्पवृष्टिः पपाताशु गगनात्तस्य मूर्धनि । तस्यास्तिक्यं तु संलक्ष्य तुष्टः प्रोवाच शङ्करः
tato bhukte mahādeve sarvadevamaye śive | puṣpavṛṣṭiḥ papātāśu gaganāttasya mūrdhani | tasyāstikyaṃ tu saṃlakṣya tuṣṭaḥ provāca śaṅkaraḥ
Als Mahādeva — Śiva, der alle Götter in sich trägt — gegessen hatte, fiel sogleich ein schneller Blumenregen vom Himmel auf das Haupt jenes Mannes. Seine unerschütterliche Glaubenshingabe erkennend, sprach Śaṅkara, erfreut.
