Type: kshetra
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: Śiva (Mahādeva) and Brahmā with brahmarṣis in a celestial court bestowing a boon; the devotee stands with folded hands, receiving the title ‘Dhanada’ and the intimacy of divine friendship.
Austerity and compassion attract divine grace; spiritual merit is shown as the true basis for authority and prosperity.
No single tīrtha is named in this verse; the focus is on the fruit of vrata and divine approval.
No new prescription is added here; it states the fruit (phala) of the earlier vow and conduct.
