vyādha uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo'si deveśa yadi deyo varo mama | tava pārśve mahādeva vāso me pratidīyatām
Vyādha (the hunter)
Tirtha: Maheśvara-sannidhya tīrtha (implied)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The hunter, hands folded, humbly asks Śiva for residence at his side—an intimate devotional petition rather than a grand demand.
The highest boon is proximity to Śiva—seeking divine companionship over worldly gain.
The narrative belongs to the Tāpeśvara-tīrtha context in the Revā (Narmadā) region, developed further in the following verses.
No ritual is prescribed here; it is a request for a boon—dwelling in Mahādeva’s presence.
