Mārkaṇḍeya (deduced from immediate continuation in next adhyāya context)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (Nāga-pratiṣṭhā tīrtha)
Type: ghat
Listener: King (nṛpa/nareśvara addressed)
Scene: After Śiva vanishes from sight, Vāsuki and Nāga chiefs perform a formal installation at the tīrtha, then depart in reverence.
Even when a divine vision withdraws, devotees preserve sanctity through proper स्थापना (ritual establishment) and remain oriented toward Maheśvara.
A Revā (Narmadā) tīrtha in Revā Khaṇḍa context, connected with nāga devotion and Śiva.
Sthāpanā—duly establishing/enshrining the sacred presence (likely liṅga or tīrtha marker) before departing.
