Transliteration devébhyo hí prathamáṃ yajñíyebhyo’mṛtatváṃ suvási bhāgám uttamám | ā́d id dāmā́naṃ savitar vy-ū́rṇuṣe’nūcī́nā jīvitā́ mānuṣébhyaḥ
Translation Denn den Göttern, den Opferwürdigen, verleihst du zuerst Unsterblichkeit, den höchsten Anteil; danach, o Savitar, entrollst du das Band und gewährst in rechter Folge Leben den Menschen.
