Sthala Purana: The verse universalizes Śiva’s accessibility: all classes of beings (deva to rākṣasa) attain paramā siddhi by worship of the Liṅga, echoing Kāśī-Viśveśvara’s reputation as the impartial giver of liberation and fulfilment.

Significance: Affirms adhikāra-breadth: Śiva’s grace is not restricted by birth/species; sincere worship leads to supreme siddhi (culminating in mokṣa).

FAQs

It declares the universality of Śiva’s grace: beings of every realm and nature can reach the supreme goal by wholehearted worship of Him (especially as Viśveśvara/Liṅga), emphasizing bhakti as a direct means to highest siddhi.

By saying “having worshipped Him,” the verse supports Saguna worship—Śiva approached through the Liṅga as an accessible, sanctified form—through which devotees progress toward the supreme (Param), ultimately leading beyond form to the highest realization.

Perform reverent Liṅga-pūjā with devotion—offering water, bilva leaves, and reciting the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—as a steady practice aimed at inner purification and supreme attainment.
