FAQs

It emphasizes that Shiva-worship is not only invocation but also a reverent completion—purification, orderly closure, and honoring the Lord through utsava—reflecting disciplined bhakti that purifies the pasu (bound soul) toward Pati (Shiva).

The verse describes post-puja ritual handling—cleansing and then ceremonially conducting the worshipped presence to the śayanālaya—typical of Saguna upasana where the Linga/arcā is treated as the living, honored presence of Shiva.

A practical takeaway is to end puja with śauca (purification), then perform an utsava-style honoring (procession/celebratory rite) and finally a respectful ‘resting’ (śayana) step—maintaining mindful order rather than abruptly stopping worship.
