प्रणवविभागः—वेदस्वरूपत्वं लिङ्गे च प्रतिष्ठा

The Division of Oṃ, Its Vedic Forms, and Its Placement in the Liṅga

प्रभोरग्रे विधेयानां तूष्णींभावो व्यतिक्रमः । किमत्र संघटेत्कृत्यमित्येवावसरोचितम्

prabhoragre vidheyānāṃ tūṣṇīṃbhāvo vyatikramaḥ | kimatra saṃghaṭetkṛtyamityevāvasarocitam

In der Gegenwart des Herrn wird für die zum Gehorsam Verpflichteten selbst das Schweigen zum Verstoß. Darum ist in diesem Augenblick nur dies angemessen: „Welcher Dienst soll hier verrichtet werden?“

It teaches that true devotion is not inert withdrawal but attentive surrender—standing before Shiva (Pati), the right response is readiness for dharma and seva, not negligent silence.

Before the Linga (Saguna focus for worship), the devotee’s posture is reverent engagement—asking what offering, japa, abhisheka, or service is appropriate—so worship becomes conscious participation rather than mere quiet presence.
