It teaches that outer yajña is completed by inner dhyāna: after offering oblations, the seeker must contemplate the sacred Fire as a cosmic principle, refining the mind toward purity and fitness for Shiva-realization.
In Shaiva practice, disciplined ritual becomes an aid to Saguna upāsanā: the consecrated fire is contemplated as a manifested power that supports focused devotion, ultimately turning attention toward Shiva as the indwelling Lord (Pati) beyond the ritual forms.
Perform homa with separate offerings, then practice visualization (dhyāna) of the kindled fire in symbolic forms—training concentration and sanctifying the inner instrument for mantra-japa and Shaiva contemplation.
