Threefold Nyāsa and the Procedure of Elemental Purification
यद्वा मूर्धादिपञ्चांगं न्यासमेव समाचरेत् । तथा षडंगन्यासं च भूतशुद्ध्यादिकं विना । एवं समासरूपेण कृत्वा देहात्मशोधनम् । शिवभावमुपागम्य पूजयेत्परमेश्वरम्
yadvā mūrdhādipañcāṃgaṃ nyāsameva samācaret | tathā ṣaḍaṃganyāsaṃ ca bhūtaśuddhyādikaṃ vinā | evaṃ samāsarūpeṇa kṛtvā dehātmaśodhanam | śivabhāvamupāgamya pūjayetparameśvaram
Oder man vollziehe nur die fünfteilige Nyāsa, beginnend mit dem Scheitel; ebenso die Ṣaḍ-aṅga-Nyāsa, ohne (ausführliche Vorbereitungen) wie Bhūta-Śuddhi und dergleichen. So, in knapper Form, nachdem man Leib und Selbst gereinigt und den Zustand des Śiva-Bewusstseins erlangt hat, soll man Parameśvara verehren.

It teaches that the essence of worship is inner purification and entering Śiva-bhāva; even abbreviated nyāsa, done with sincerity, prepares the devotee to worship Parameśvara and progress toward liberation.
Nyāsa internalizes the deity’s presence in the worshipper, so external pūjā—such as Liṅga worship—becomes an expression of realized Śiva-consciousness, aligning outer ritual with inner devotion to Saguna Śiva.
Perform pañcāṅga-nyāsa (head and related placements) and ṣaḍaṅga-nyāsa in a concise form, even without extended bhūta-śuddhi, then worship Śiva after cultivating Śiva-bhāva (steady devotional awareness).
