Purification of the Six Adhvans / Sixfold Cosmic Path

It emphasizes disciplined progression in sādhana—moving through stages of withdrawal (nivṛtti) and settled peace (śānti)—and then sealing the practice with oblations and focused worship of Śiva, the Pati who grants liberation by loosening pāśa (bondage).
The instruction to worship Śiva “in the maṇḍala” points to saguna-upāsanā using a consecrated sacred space/diagram (often aligned with liṅga or icon worship), where the mind is gathered and Śiva is adored as accessible Lord while leading the devotee toward the higher, tranquil realization implied by nivṛtti and śānti.
A structured worship sequence: complete the prescribed stages in order, perform homa with three specific oblations (āhuti-traya), and then conduct maṇḍala-based Śiva-pūjā—ideally accompanied by mantra-japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī) and inner withdrawal consistent with nivṛtti.
