Vāyu sprach: Als er ihn so sah — verstört, voller Furcht, klagend und von Schuld beladen — sprach die Schatzkammer des Mitgefühls, gleichsam lächelnd, zu ihm: „Fürchte dich nicht.“
Vayu

Mantra: mā bhaiḥ
It highlights that even when a soul is shaken by fear and guilt, divine compassion responds first with reassurance—urging surrender, calmness, and the turning of the mind toward liberation rather than despair.
The command “Do not fear” reflects Saguna Shiva’s grace-filled accessibility: the devotee approaches the Linga as a living refuge where agitation and the burden of wrongdoing are transformed through repentance, devotion, and divine mercy.
A practical takeaway is fearlessness through japa and surrender: repeat the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with steady breath, confess wrongdoing inwardly, and mentally take refuge at Shiva’s feet (śaraṇāgati).
