FAQs

It highlights the Purāṇic principle of approaching a higher authority with humility and assembly-witnessed reverence—an outer model for the inner act of the bound soul (paśu) turning toward the Supreme (Pati) for right knowledge and order.

Though the Liṅga is not named here, the narrative mood is devotional and hierarchical: seekers and cosmic officials approach the manifest, knowable form of sacred authority—paralleling how devotees approach Saguna Shiva through Liṅga worship to receive grace and guidance.

The takeaway is “upāsanā through approach”: go to a sanctified place or shrine, sit with sādhus/elders, and offer respectful salutations—then begin japa such as the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a receptive, humble mind.
