FAQs

It teaches Shaiva dharma-in-action: even in conflict, one should act without hesitation while anchoring the mind in devotion—remembering the Guru’s lotus-feet, which in Shaiva Siddhanta signifies grace-guided right action.

The verse reflects Saguna Shiva as the living Lord who directs his devotees; remembering the Guru’s feet parallels Linga-worship where the devotee first takes refuge in Shiva’s presence and grace, then performs duty with steadiness.

Practice smaraṇa (remembrance) before action: mentally bow to the Guru/Shiva, recite a short Shiva-mantra such as “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and then proceed with disciplined, dharmic effort.
