Cosmic Event: karmic continuity across births (pūrvajanma-saṃskāra)
It highlights Shiva’s anugraha (grace): sincere prayer receives fulfillment, and Shiva also reveals the deeper karmic continuity behind present events—showing how devotion and destiny unfold across births under the Lord’s guidance.
The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s personal compassion—He listens, grants boons, and instructs devotees. In Linga worship, this same accessible Lord is approached through ritual and bhakti, and His grace is understood to operate beyond a single lifetime.
A practical takeaway is steady bhakti with japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while praying for right understanding; the verse also supports reflective meditation on past karmas and Shiva’s guiding grace rather than anxiety over outcomes.
