The verse highlights that sincere worship joined with ārya-prayatna (virtuous, disciplined effort) ripens into divine grace—Śiva’s anugraha—by which the devotee’s highest, dharmic longing is fulfilled.
It reflects Saguna-Śiva devotion: when Śambhu is approached through concrete worship (pūjā), the Lord responds compassionately by granting a boon. In Purāṇic practice, this same principle is expressed through Liṅga-pūjā as a direct, accessible form of Śiva’s grace.
The takeaway is steadfast pūjā with pure intention—regular Śiva worship (especially Liṅga-arcana) supported by disciplined conduct; chanting the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” is the simplest aligned practice.
