FAQs

It highlights dharma expressed through correct saṃskāras—outer purity and right conduct that support inner purity, preparing the embodied being for devotion to Pati (Shiva) and eventual liberation.

Though not a direct Linga instruction, it frames the Shaiva worldview where worldly duties (proper rites and care) are performed as orderly dharma, which complements Saguna Shiva-bhakti by sanctifying life stages and actions.

The verse points to performing life-stage saṃskāras and daily duties with rule-based purity; as a Shaiva takeaway, one can pair such duties with remembrance of Shiva (e.g., mentally repeating the Panchakshara) while acting.
