The verse expresses śaraṇāgati (total surrender): the devotee affirms truth, seeks Shiva’s validation, and rests in Him as the sole refuge—highlighting Shiva as Pati (Lord) who upholds order and grants grace.
By calling Shiva “Nātha” and seeking His acceptance as pramāṇa, the verse reflects devotion to Saguna Shiva—the accessible Lord who responds to prayer and confirms dharma, a mood central to Linga worship and Jyotirlinga pilgrimage traditions.
Practice inner surrender while repeating the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering mental obeisance to Shiva as the sole refuge; this aligns with bhakti-driven japa and contemplative dependence on Shiva’s grace.
