Description of the Conduct and Daily Discipline of Saṃnyāsa

आबध्य शंखमुद्रां च प्रणवेनाभिषेचयेत् । शिरसि द्वादशावृत्त्या तदर्धं वा तदर्धकम्

Nachdem man die Muschel-Mudrā (śaṅkha-mudrā) gebildet hat, soll man die weihende Besprengung mit dem Praṇava (Oṁ) vollziehen. Auf dem Scheitel geschieht es mit zwölf Wiederholungen — oder mit der Hälfte davon, oder nochmals mit der Hälfte, wie es erlaubt ist.
