Exposition of the Supreme Method of Creation and the Tirodhāna-Cakra
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Role: liberating
The verse teaches that bondage persists while karmic forces remain operative and imbalanced; when karma ripens into equilibrium, Shiva’s anugraha (grace) becomes the decisive factor that turns the soul toward release, aligning with the Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on Pati (Shiva) as the liberator.
Worship of the Linga (Saguna Shiva as an accessible form) is a means to purify and steady the mind, helping karmas mature toward sāmya; at that ripened stage, the devotee experiences Shiva not merely as the object of ritual but as the gracious Lord who bestows inner clarity and freedom.
Practice steady japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with devotion and ethical restraint; such bhakti-sādhana supports karmic purification and invites Shiva’s anugraha, especially when paired with simple Linga-pūjā and mindful detachment from bhoga.
