Sukta 8.7

Rishi: Kāṇva (Kāṇvāyana tradition; hymn-level confirmation needed)

विद्युद्धस्ता अभिद्यवः शिप्राः शीर्षन्हिरण्ययीः । शुभ्रा व्यञ्जत श्रिये ॥

vidyúdd-hastā abhi-dyávaḥ śíprāḥ śīrṣán-hiraṇyáyīḥ | śubhrā ví añjata śríye ||

Mit Blitz in den Händen, himmelwärts leuchtend, mit strahlenden Wangenpanzern und goldenen Hauptschmücken: die Hellen schmückten sich nach außen, salbten sich zur Herrlichkeit.
