Sukta 7.33

Rishi: Vasiṣṭha (about Vasiṣṭha)
Devata: Yama and Apsarases (ordering law and flowing inspiration)

स प्रकेत उभयस्य प्रविद्वान्त्सहस्रदान उत वा सदानः । यमेन ततं परिधिं वयिष्यन्नप्सरसः परि जज्ञे वसिष्ठः ॥

sá pra-ketá ubháyasya pra-vidvā́n sahásra-dāna utá vā sádānaḥ | yaména tatáṁ pari-dhíṁ váyiṣyann apsárasaḥ pári jajñe vasiṣṭháḥ ||

Er, der lichtvolle Erkenner, der beide Seiten kennt, der Tausendfaches schenkt und es auch beständig bewahrt: im Verlangen, die von Yama gespannte Grenze zu verweben, wurde Vasiṣṭha geboren, die Apsaras umschließend — die strömenden Eingebungen.
