शतैरपद्रन्पणय इन्द्रात्र दशोणये कवयेऽर्कसातौ । वधैः शुष्णस्याशुषस्य मायाः पित्वो नारिरेचीत्किं चन प्र ॥

Transliteration

śatáir apadran paṇáya índrā́tra daśóṇaye kaváye ’rka-sā́tau | vadháiḥ śúṣṇasyāśúṣasya māyā́ḥ pitvó nā́rirecīt kíṃ caná prá ||

Translation

Zu Hunderten flohen hier die Paṇis davon, o Indra, vor dem Seher der zehnfachen Kraft, beim Gewinn des lichtvollen Liedes. Durch deine Schläge vermochten die Trugbilder des Śuṣṇa, des den Strom Zurückhaltenden, nicht einmal ein Weniges von der Fülle der Seele auszuschöpfen.
