त्वामिद्वृत्रहन्तम जनासो वृक्तबर्हिषः । उग्रं पूर्वीषु पूर्व्यं हवन्ते वाजसातये ॥
Transliteration
tvām íd vṛtrahántamam janā́so vṛktábarhiṣaḥ | ugráṁ pūrvī́ṣu pū́rvyaṁ hávante vājásātaye ||
Translation
Dich, ja dich, den höchsten Vṛtra-Schlächter, rufen die Menschen mit ausgestreutem heiligem Gras: deine grimme Macht, uralt unter den Uralten, zum Gewinn des vā́ja, der Fülle sieghafter Kraft.
