Sukta 5.1
जनिष्ट हि जेन्यो अग्रे अह्नां हितो हितेष्वरुषो वनेषु । दमेदमे सप्त रत्ना दधानोऽग्निर्होता नि षसादा यजीयान् ॥
jániṣṭa hí jényo ágre áhnāṃ hitó hitéṣv aruṣó váneṣu | dámē-dame saptá rátnā dádhāno 'gnír hótā ní ṣasāda yajī́yān ||
Denn er wird geboren, der Edle, am Anfang der Tage, eingesetzt an den eingesetzten Stätten, der Rötliche in den Wäldern. Von Haus zu Haus, die sieben Schätze tragend, hat Agni, der Hotṛ, sich niedergesetzt — der Opfergabe würdigst.
